Child Health Check-Ups
General health check-ups are available for both children and adults at our medical centre. We can perform age-related health checks and measurements to assess your child’s physical and neurological development. This may include the monitoring of significant milestones, for example, physical movements such as crawling and walking, and cognitive abilities such as talking and face tracking.
As we monitor your child’s progress, you can use your free Personal Health Record booklet to record important information such as immunisations, developmental checks, and other major health events. This record may prove helpful in your child’s developmental check-ups, so be sure to bring it with you to any future appointments.
Supporting New Parents & Newborns
Becoming a new parent is an exciting, albeit challenging, time. We offer a comprehensive range of support services for new parents and newborns in the Moreton Bay region at Deception Bay Doctors. Our staff can assist with neonatal breastfeeding and provide professional advice concerning your newborn’s sleep schedule or crying habits. For parents experiencing post-natal depression or other negative feelings, we have mental health support available.
